Coach, Author, Strategist
Whispering insights to executives, guiding them to navigate power, politics, and performance with clarity and integrity in high-impact arenas.
Trusted by Leaders Worldwide
For over 20 years, I’ve supported executives and guided professionals globally, in organisations ranging from Amazon to Goldman Sachs, industries from automotive to insurance, and professions from legal to tech. Enriched by 15+ years of research and presentations at London Business School, Wharton, Cass, and Warwick Business School, my practical insights drive results and resonate powerfully in diverse, high-impact settings.
My Background
Before teaching influence, I lived it – steering Mergers & Acquisitions, International Strategy, and IT through highly complex scenarios. I delivered transformative results, proving I walk the talk.
My focus lies in the practical mastery of power and influence, captured in my books Influential Leadership, 21 Dirty Tricks at Work, Political Dilemmas at Work, and three others – all eclipsed by the rich, practical resources within Private Insights.
Collaborating with Allan R. Cohen (co-author of Influence Without Authority) and contributing to Marshall Goldsmith’s books – alongside features in The Financial Times and The Times – highlight my global presence.
My Approach
Influence thrives on integrity and clarity, not gamesmanship. I don’t peddle theory – my focus is actionable insight to see more clearly, move with purpose, and position yourself powerfully.
Politics persists, but understanding it – and your role within it – shifts you from reaction to creation.
Personal Reflections
Living with my partner in the stunning Cotswolds, I draw inspiration from hiking its hills, valleys, and the mountains of Wales. My fascination with macroeconomics, epigenetics, Daoism, and Qi Gong shapes my approach, blending strategy with balance to guide my work and life.
